Here is a list of commonly asked Latex Mattress questions which dispel confusion and misunderstanding.
Do I need to flip my latex mattress?
Yes, it is recommended that you flip the first time, rotate the next, and flip again the next time. Repeating atleast 4 times per year. This is to ensure you are spreading your weight evenly over the whole mattress and to ensure you are keeping to warranty requirements.
Does latex sag, roll in the middle or leave body impressions?
Latex is a premium quality, durable product with a 10 year warranty. They are designed to conform to your body’s shape and provide great support. The mattress may give 1-2cm over time which does not affect its pressure point and joint relieving abilities.
Does latex get hot?
No, it is a myth that latex mattresses get hot. In the past the mattresses that were sold as latex were not made with 100% pure latex, they may have had other synthetic products added as fillers. They were also a closed-cell structure, meaning the outside of the mattress had a shiny closed cell surface.
Because our latex mattresses are air-rated with hundreds of holes and made with 100% pure natural latex, they are breathable making them a normal temperature all year round and the added benefit of being hypoallergenic-great for people who suffer allergies and other sensitivities.
What sort of base is best for a latex mattress?
It is recommended a slatted bed base to ensure breathability to the mattress and also to act as a spine. Our latex mattresses have a 10 year warranty but we believe you can get up to 30 years out of your mattress provided you treat it with care as per the warranty requirements which state a slatted bed base support and regular rotating and flipping of your mattress.
What colours and fabrics are available in your bed bases?
We have a beautiful selection of Warwick fabrics to pick from in store at our Myaree or Cannington showrooms. Choose from blues, pinks, yellows and neutral tones. We also have the popular charcoal, chocolate and cream bases on display. The Warwick fabrics are an environmentally friendly cotton blend material and we also have some options in a suede material.
Where are your bed bases made and what is the warranty?
Our handcrafted wooden bed bases are made in WA. They come with a 10 year warranty.
