Waking up with a sore neck and shoulders?

Why do I wake up with a sore neck and shoulders and how can I prevent it?

Waking up with a sore neck and shoulders is commonly caused by sleeping in a position that doesn’t support your neck or spine.  Many pillows don’t give adequate support to the neck.  If the pillow is too high, it can keep your neck flexed overnight causing morning aches or stiffness.  A pillow that is too low can cause your neck to bend downwards which can cause strain on your muscles.

Using a Memory Foam pillow is an excellent way to combat this problem.  MLILY’s memory pillows have been designed according to ergonomic principles.  Memory Foam conforms to the contours of your neck and shoulders, providing support to the spine and reducing strain and pressure on these areas, letting you wake up free of pain and stiffness.

Sometimes I get too hot at night, what can I do to stop this?

Many people find they get too hot during the night while they are asleep, especially in the summertime.  This can be caused by a variety of factors including your natural body temperature, your room temperature and your mattress or pillow.

Traditional Memory Foam has a reputation for “sleeping hot”, however, MLILY uses third generation Memory Foam in the manufacturing of our mattresses and pillows, which means that the Memory Foam doesn’t need to heat to change shape.  Because it doesn’t need to heat to change shape, third generation Memory Foam doesn’t retain the heat in the same way that traditional Memory Foam can.

MLILY mattresses have excellent ventilation properties which help to circulate air, keeping your cooler at night.  Many of our products also use innovative gel infused Memory Foam which dissipates heat to ensure that you stay cool.  We recommend the Gel pillow which features a cooling gel pad top layer, for people who are looking for a cooler night’s sleep.
