Adults – Need about 8 hours sleep depending on individual factors. We generally need less sleep as we get older. Be guided by your own state of alertness. If you feel tried during the day, try and get more sleep.
Teenagers – Need about 9 to 10 hours sleep. Peer pressure and social engagements can cause a reduction in sleep time. There is a change in the sleep- wake cycle for teenagers as to them being sleepy later at night and prefering to wake later.
Primary School Children – Need about 9 to 10 hours sleep . Increasing the time your child sleeps even by just 30mins can help improve performances at school.
